Holiday Time

Hi all

It is now holiday and the end of the school year here in NZ.

I will be adding a few bits and pieces to this page for Room 1 children over the holidays of things that might be of interest.  None of this is required work.

Holiday work ideas

  • Write a blog entry about your Christmas day.  Don’t forget to include the information we would want to know (think who, what, when, where etc) and to spell check your work before submitting for review.
  • Read a book and add a comment about your book to the BOOKWORM page.  Let’s see how many we can read over the holidays.
  • Don’t forget your Hot Holiday Maths workbook and spelling lists to learn.
  • Add some blog entries about things you are doing over the holidays.

Stephen our sign language friend is doing some new videos, and as promised I will place them on here for you to watch.

Here is his first one – Fireflies by Owl City

Here is another video from Stephen.  The song is very funny.  Have a listen.

I hope you all had something better for Christmas dinner than what the song talks about…hehehe
